Manual Moss Removal
Blades and wire brushes are used to scrape and brush the moss off of the tiles. The moss removal is typically followed by a preventative Chemical Treatment, to keep the roof moss-free for longer. This combination of techniques is the most effective way to clean and remove moss from old and fragile tiles.
For most modern tiles we recommend Steam Cleaning & Pressure Washing followed by a Chemical Treatment. This gives the most dramatic improvement to the way a roof looks and comes with a longer moss-free guarantee (24 months).

Is roof cleaning safe for my roof?Yes, roof cleaning is safe for your roof. We work from scaffold towers and cherry pickers so do not walk on roofs when cleaning them. Before we put any water on a roof (steam cleaning & pressure washing) we use a drone to inspect it for any vulnerabilities. If we are not happy with the condition of the roof we will recommend a different cleaning method. How long will it take to clean my roof?How long it takes to clean a roof depends on how big the roof is, how dirty/mossy it is, how difficult it is to access and what cleaning methods are used. How long will my roof stay clean for?Roofs typically stay clean for 2-5 years but can stay clean for longer in some circumstances. We provide a 24 month moss-free guarantee after steam cleaning & pressure washing a roof, and an 18 month moss-free guarantee after manually removing the moss from a roof.
