Chemical Treatments (Softwashing)
This is a great preventative measure to keep organic growth at bay, and reduce the frequency at which cleaning and moss removal is required. We like to apply a chemical treatment after Steam Cleaning & Pressure Washing and Manual Moss Removal and we recommend that it's re-applied every 2-3 years.
When chemically treating roofs, we brush or spray on a HSE approved, biodegrable biocide. This kills moss, algae and lichen and delays it's return.

Is roof cleaning safe for my roof?Yes, roof cleaning is safe for your roof. We work from scaffold towers and cherry pickers so do not walk on roofs when cleaning them. Before we put any water on a roof (steam cleaning & pressure washing) we use a drone to inspect it for any vulnerabilities. If we are not happy with the condition of the roof we will recommend a different cleaning method. How long will it take to clean my roof?How long it takes to clean a roof depends on how big the roof is, how dirty/mossy it is, how difficult it is to access and what cleaning methods are used. We provide a 24 month moss-free guarantee after steam cleaning & pressure washing a roof, and an 18 month moss-free guarantee after manually removing the moss from a roof.
